SELF DRIVE MOZAMBIQUE

Famed for its tropical beaches and exotic islands, Mozambique lives up to the hype as a beach haven and fresh seafood destination. This country’s historical Portuguese influence is unmistakably evident in its cuisine and language.

Three times the size of Great Britain and with 2,500km of coastline, Mozambique has the looks, temperament and attractions to capture the world’s imagination for an exotic escape; and how better to experience the best of Mozambique’s history, culture, food and beaches than on a self-drive safari.

Fringed by the Indian Ocean on the right, sandwiched by Southern Africa on the left, Mozambique is a mango-drenched, coconut-infused, sun-ripened cocktail all on its own.

The charming country brings together the classic African bush and all its wildlife with the oceanic worlds of the Indies and the ancient trade routes of the East. The fascinating colonial architecture and culture of the towns and cities give way to miles upon miles of coastline where swaying palms, turquoise waters and secluded beaches with incredible diving opportunities beckon the adventurous traveller.
