Land of deserts, water and incredible wildlife

Self Drive Botswana

In Botswana, it has been said; you will encounter more animals than people. Almost half of the country is allocated to national parks, game reserves and private concessions. A self drive Botswana trip is the ultimate wildlife experience and offers superb game viewing in a host of excellent reserves with inspired safari lodges.

Botswana Self Drive Highlights

Botswana is a land of contrasts, ranging from the central Kalahari Desert to the moon-like environment of the Makgadikgadi salt pans in the east and the watery expanse of the Okavango Delta in the north. Popular safaris include a Maun safari and Kasane safari; these are definite must-dos when it comes to exploring the wild side of Botswana. The country’s flagship, Chobe National Park, boasts Africa’s biggest elephant population estimated to be around 120,000 elephants. The park is located only 80 km away from the majestic Victoria Falls so be sure to add it to your safari itinerary.

We offer three self drive Botswana routes. Each route offers 2 weeks or more of 4x4 self drive safari adventure. We also offer three tour levels that determine the type of accommodation on the route, from self-catering and camping to luxury safari lodges. There are hundreds of accommodation options along these routes, which we can tailor to meet your needs based on the level you choose. Start planning your 4x4 adventure and self drive Botswana’s Chobe National Park, Moremi Wildlife Reserve, Okavango Delta, Central Kalahari and more!
