Land of untouched wilderness and endless exploration
Self Drive Zambia
Zambia is a vast area of largely undeveloped wilderness where you are never in any danger of finding yourself in a tourist queue to get into a park. An incredible 30% of the country is given over to wildlife reserves where you will find just the right balance between beautiful camps and real wilderness.
Zambia Self Drive Highlights
A self-drive Zambia safari offers some of the most authentic safari experiences in the world. For one, Zambia is renowned for its walking safaris where you are encouraged to get out of your vehicle or leave your camp to go on guided explorations of the bush in the hands of expert local guides.
With more water than any other African country, Zambia boasts mighty rivers, 5 large lakes and 17 waterfalls, including the majestic Victoria Falls, also known as one of the seven wonders of the natural world. The South Luangwa National Park is a popular favourite and is one of the top national parks to spot the big five.
We offer three self drive Zambia routes that can be taken on their own or in combination. Each route offers 2 weeks or more of 4x4 self drive safari adventure. We also offer three tour levels that determine the type of accommodation on the route, from self-catering and camping to luxury safari lodges. There are hundreds of accommodation options along these routes, which we can tailor to meet your needs based on the level you choose.
